Richard Veltre is the Chief Advisor of Financial Systems and Controls at SCALE Physician Group.
For the past 15 years, Richard has served as the Founder and President of a finance consulting firm which focuses on developing, implementing and managing the full spectrum of financial systems and controls required to effectively and efficiently scale organizations. Rich has supported client organizations across all functions of the office of the CFO, including by providing outsourced CFO, controller and bookkeeping services, as well as audit, cash flow management / forecasting, and financing & capital structure advisory.
Rich has over 22 years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant and business advisor, with experience ranging from start-up companies to publicly traded partnerships. During his tenure he has acted as the Chief Financial Officer for growing small-cap and middle-market companies where he supported various strategic planning, budgeting, financial modeling and restructuring initiatives. In this role he served as CFO of a satellite telecommunications company that rebounded from slow growth, expanded internationally and eventually exited as a division of a multinational conglomerate. He also served as CFO for a company that designed and distributed advanced orthopedic footwear for a variety of categories including diabetes, arthritis, and other therapeutic conditions. That company recognized 300% growth and a successful sale.
Richard started his career with Price Waterhouse where he focused on their middle-market practice. He was often called upon for special projects due to his versatility, including corporate finance transactions, systems changeovers, strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting. Subsequently, he spent several years working with a variety of regional accounting firms focusing not only on client service but also on establishing procedures and launching new services.
Richard graduated with a BS in Accounting and MBA in Finance from Seton Hall University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has served as an Adjunct Professor of Finance & Accounting at Seton Hall University.
