Chris Ennis is the Senior Vice President, Platform Development at SCALE Physician Group.
Chris has had a progressive 20-year career in healthcare administration and physician practice management. In his most recent role, Chris served as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Urology of Virginia, a Private Practice Urology Group with 33 board certified sub specialty Urologists, most of whom are fellowship trained. The practice was also made up of 14 Physician Extenders, including a staff of over 300, where he was the key advisor to the Board / Management Committee and other senior leadership on business matters. Prior to his tenure at Urology of Virginia, Mr. Ennis served as Senior Administrator at The University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD in their nationally-recognized R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, with 10 Divisions, and over 100 physicians.
Chris has also held leadership roles at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, MD and Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, MD. He is a graduate of Towson University, where he received his BS Degree in Psychology, then went on to earn an MS Degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Maryland.
Chris is a member of many professional organizations including The American College of Healthcare Executives, The American Association of Surgical Administrators, Large Urology Group Practice Association, The American Urological Association, and The Medical Group Management Association of Maryland, where he previously served on the Board of Directors.
